Eco-Experience Healthy, Local Foods

DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation is a proud partner of the Eco-Experience Healthy, Local Foods exhibit this year at the State Fair. Each day, the Healthy Local Food exhibit will feature a different theme, including Food and Travel, Dine Local, Fair Trade, and New Immigrant Farming. You can meet local food producers, taste a locally produced food prepared fresh, and find out what you can do to make a difference – simply by eating!

The market stand – where local food items are sold outside the Eco-Experience building – was designed by Sala Architects and built by DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation. The stand is constructed from FSC-certified lumber and Trex composite decking. “We feel it is important to support local businesses – whether they are farmers, tile makers, or restaurateurs,” says Rocky DiGiacomo explaining why his company volunteered to build the market stand. “And, by partnering with Eco-Experience we hope to help educate fairgoers about the importance of energy efficiency and some of the most important green building technologies designed for the home.”
