Classic Craftsman Details Put to New Use
An Arts & Crafts Home in the Twin Cities is Reborn
A client's love of Arts & Crafts styling and the need to clearly delineate spaceswithin a very open floor plan (the lifestyle of this family called for an unconventional floor plan) necessitated the use of traditional craftsman details.
Numerous niches, ledges and focal points were designed to add aesthetic beauty, display the family's art, and, equally important, to introduce many Craftsman details.
These details were put to use throughout the main floor to define spaces such as the dining room, library, and informal living room. Look for the: custom-built newel posts, drop-beam ceiling in the dining room, built-in hutch, cream paneling, and quarter-sawn white oak trim throughout.
