This inviting living room was designed at “human scale” with Sarah Susanka’s NOT SO BIG HOUSE in mind. The space is comfortable and charming with clean-lined Arts & Crafts, enameled detailing, built-in reading nooks, and 8-foot tall sliding glass doors that open to allow fresh air and access to quaint, shaded front porch. Everything is custom-built according to this homeowner’s wishes and everything has it’s place … Notice the swing-arm lamps tucked neatly against the fireplace surround,  the his and hers bookshelves that straddle the fireplace, and the built-in drawers beneath the fireplace hearth (which itself serves as a side table for evening coffee). These homeowners truly feel at home in this space whether it’s a cold, winter evening or a lazy summer morning …
